The Victory of the Resurrection

The resurrection of Christ is the most extraordinary happening that ever took place on this planet. The Gospel of Peter describes two angels who rolled away the stone that was placed on Jesus' tomb. The night before the Sabbath dawned, the soldiers who were safeguarding the tomb—two by two in every watch—heard a loud voice in heaven and saw the heavens open. Two males who had much radiance came down from the heavens and went near the sepulcher. And the stone which had been thrust against the door rolled by itself and went a distance off to the side. Then, the sepulcher opened and both young men from heaven entered.

The Messenger of Music Dorothy Lee Fulton explained that there was thunder and lightning when this took place. She wrote a song describing the moment, He Is Risen: “Behold! The thunder and the lightning of the resurrection. The stone is rolled away.” She shared with me as she was working on the song, that the cosmic moment when the stone was rolled away was no quiet event. The Gospel of Matthew says a violent earthquake took place when the angel rolled back the stone. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.

The Gospel of Peter says the soldiers awakened the centurion and the elders who were guarding the entrance to the tomb. As they related what they had just seen, three males came out from the sepulcher, the two from heaven supporting the third, with a cross following. The two reached into heaven, and the one they led out by hand went beyond heaven. Then, a voice from heaven said, “Have you made proclamation to the fallen asleep?” “Yes,” said a voice from the cross.

All who witnessed this sought a common perspective to convey what had happened to Pilate. As they were doing so, the heavens opened again and a man came down and entered the burial place. So they left the sepulcher, even though it was night, and hastened to describe to Pilate what they had seen, and Pilate ordered the centurion and the soldiers to tell no one what they had seen.

The Gospel of Matthew says the chief priests and elders bribed the soldiers with a large sum of money and told them they would say out of trouble if they reported to Pilate, “His disciples came during the night and stole him away while we were asleep.” So the soldiers took the money and did as they were told, and Matthew adds that this story has been widely circulated among the Jews to this very day. Perhaps this is why so many Jews—even today—still do not believe Jesus is the Messiah, or that he resurrected from the dead.

Another anecdote found in the Apocryphon of John records how, even though an earthquake followed the crucifixion, the Jewish authorities failed to recognize Jesus' divinity. After the resurrection, a Pharisee approached John and said, “ Where can the teacher you used to follow be found?” John responded, “he has returned to the place from which he originated.” The Pharisee retorted, “That person from Nazareth led all of you astray, propagated falsehoods, closed your hearts and diverted you from your ancestral customs.”

The angels who rolled away the stone gave a dictation published by the Summit Lighthouse, in which they said: “Is it not so, that an angel must rescue even the Lord by rolling the stone away? This is the meaning of the incomparable service of the angelic hosts of light. We move, as it is our assignment, to care for the sons and daughters of God who are undergoing the initiations of the Passion of our Lord.

“Therefore, beloved, when you are in the physical body, you must deal with the physical body, even as Jesus had to deal with his body. And in order for him to deal with the agony of his physical body, it was incumbent upon me to roll away the stone.” What I believe the angel meant by this was that the body of Jesus was so broken that he needed the angelic help to rise to the heavenly octaves and return with a resurrected body. For as Saint Paul told us, there are bodies terrestrial and bodies celestial. And Jesus needed their help to transform his broken terrestrial body into a celestial body.

The following dictation excerpts from the Summit Lighthouse, help us understand more about the initiation of the crucifixion and the resurrection. The Elohim Cyclopea said, “Not only your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ but every son and daughter of God who has found his way to the kingdom of Light has had to go through that ultimate moment of the crucifixion, which is the moment of self-transcendence.

“Thus I show you a mystery of Christ crucified. And I show you the glory of the crucifixion, not the sorrow of it. I show you how through that very process of Christ being crucified in you the Light of God, as symbolized and actualized in the Blood of Jesus, flows from your Christ Self for the spiritual nourishment of life.”

Let us look now, at Jesus' glorious resurrection by examining the victory of the resurrection as it was physically recorded on the Shroud of Turin. Discovered in the 1350s, the Shroud of Turin is said to be the very burial cloth that covered Jesus’ body. It is currently housed in the Chapel of the Holy Shroud, in Turin, Italy. Biblical scholar Dr. Jeremiah Johnston describes it as an ancient artifact that has defied modern science. “We must take the shroud seriously, for it passes every test that has been put to it,” he says.

The Shroud of Turin is a continuously piece of pure linen with a herringbone weave that measures fourteen feet and four inches, by three feet and seven inches. In 1898, photographer Secondo Pia discovered the shroud’s image was like a photographic negative—revealing a positive, lifelike face when inverted. The face resembles the earliest known portraits of Jesus, and not the later portraits of Medieval art.

In 1978, a team of forty scientists—the Shroud of Turin Research Project, conducted exhaustive tests. They concluded the image wasn’t painted, dyed, or scorched. There is a superficial oxidation on the linen fibers, only 200-600 nanometers deep. No pigments or artistic media were found, and the bloodstains tested positive for human blood, type AB, containing hemoglobin, and serum with high levels of creatinine and bilirubin—all hallmarks of real trauma.

The image has three-dimensional qualities, and the blood stains are older than the image. Even though blood absorbs all the way through the linen, the image is superficial and only two microns thick. It does not absorb all the way through. “So, if this was a hoax,” Johnston said, “if this was a work of art, if there was pigment, if there was dye, if there was paint, it would absorb fully. But if we took a razor to the actual shroud, we could shave off the image because it’s that thin. And, this is what the best scientists in the world cannot replicate.”

Johnston described other findings that support authenticity. Pollen analysis by Swiss criminologist Max Frei in the 1970s identified forty-nine plant species, fourteen unique to the Dead Sea and Jerusalem regions—including some blooming only in Israel during April. There are also traces of limestone and clay specific to Jerusalem embedded in the shroud. And coins over the eyes in the image resemble Pontius Pilate-era lepta, dated to 29-32 AD.

The image records more than seven hundred separate injuries, that correspond to Roman crucifixion practices—nails through the wrists, scourge marks from lead-tipped flagrum whips, more than fifty head injuries consistent with a crown of thorns, as well as a spear wound between ribs five and six. The bloodstains precede the image, flowing realistically under gravity.

3-D imaging of the face on the Shroud of Turin

Mathematician Bruno Barberis, of the University of Turin, calculated the odds at about one in 200 billion that the Shroud of Turin could have belonged to anyone other than Jesus of Nazareth. In 2024, Italian researchers at the Institute of Crystallography used wide-angle X-ray scattering to analyze the linen’s cellulose degradation, dating it to around 2,000 years ago—consistent with Jesus’ era. The microscopic oxidation resembles rapid sun-bleaching. A 2011 study using excimer lasers produced similar superficial discoloration, hinting at an unknown energy source. This suggests a burst of radiation that happened at the moment of the Resurrection. Johnston added these modern attempts—even with excimer lasers—have not been able to replicate the effect without damaging the linen. All of this research, including findings of vacuum ultraviolet light effects, points to a burst of energy around 34,000 billion watts for less than a billionth of a second.

In a dictation published through the Summit Lighthouse, Jesus spoke of the image on the shroud, as well as in a portrait that he released through Charles Sindelar in the 1930s, that is on the cover of this book. Sindelar had a profound vision of the ascended Jesus Christ that inspired his rendition of the master. Jesus said, “Let it be known that this image of myself which I have released through the artist Charles Sindelar is indeed the very same image that you will find on the Shroud of Turin, and it is unmistakable. And therefore, you will know that I have appeared to many saints throughout the ages. And I have spoken through many messengers who have appeared to deliver, by the miracle of the Holy Spirit, the healing light, the gift of wisdom, and the teaching of the way. And I have sealed unto this witness the understanding of each one’s own God-reality, and none shall tear it from my own!

“For those who are called of the Father will know me as I AM and will not have the power to distort me or my name or my image or my presence. For I AM yet the Good Shepherd and I stand with every disciple on earth who is true to the calling of the Son of God! And those who are yet weak I strength en when they pray and when they acknowledge that Universal Christ, not alone in me but as the divine image out of which they also were made.”

Resurrection flame over the heart, www.tsl.org

The burst of resurrection flame was recorded on the fibers of the burial shroud. Through the resurrection flame, which is an accelerated threefold flame, Jesus sublimated his physical form at the atomic level, and drew it up into his etheric body like an instant cremation. Jesus' damaged physical body disappeared, in a similar way to how Mother Mary's physical body disappeared during the assumption, leaving only a picture imprint on the burial shroud—and in Mother Mary's case, white roses.

This was the cosmic moment when Jesus proved for all time that there is life beyond death. He reignited the divine flame in his heart, which brought his body back to life, transforming it into a higher vibrating frequency. In the words of the Book of Revelation, “He who was seated on the throne said, Behold I make all things new.” Jesus' resurrected body was a precipitation of his etheric body. His etheric body, as the “memory body,” still had the record of the nail holes and the wound in the side, and provided a vehicle for Jesus to function both in earth and in heaven. This is also why the crucifixion wounds were still there for Thomas to feel.

Some could see Jesus in his renewed form and others could not. Those who could, had their souls quickened by the same Spirit of the Resurrection.

The Gospel of Peter tells us that at the dawn of the Sabbath, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb with her women friends to weep and mourn according to the Jewish tradition, which was to be done next to the body of the deceased. “Who will roll away for us the stone placed against the door of the tomb,” they wondered, “in order that, having entered, we may sit beside him and do the expected things?”

The stone was large, and they were afraid lest anyone see them, but they found the sepulcher open. They came forward and bent down, and saw a handsome young man seated in the middle of the sepulcher, clothed with a splendid robe. He said to them, “Why have you come? Whom do you seek? Not that one who was crucified? He is risen and gone away. But if you do not believe, bend down and see the place where he lay, because he is not here. For he is risen and gone away to there whence he was sent.” Then the women were frightened and fled.

The Gospel of Matthew reports that the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”

So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them. “Greetings,”he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee. There they will see me.”

The Gospel of Mark specifies that Jesus first appeared to Mary Magdalene. She recognized him, even though his resurrected body had significantly changed from the appearance of his physical body. She went and told the disciples who were mourning and weeping. When they heard that Jesus was alive and that she had seen him, they did not believe her.

The Gospel of Luke adds that even though the disciples did not believe the women, Peter got up and ran to the tomb. Bending over, he saw the empty tombs and the strips of linen, and went away wondering what had happened. Luke later mentions that Peter did see Jesus at the tomb.

Afterward, Jesus appeared to two disciples while they were walking in the country. These are the ones Luke describes on the road to Emmaus.

Road to Emmaus by Robert Zund

“That same day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem. They were talking with each other about everything that had happened. As they discussed these things with each other, Jesus himself came up and walked along with them, but they were kept from recognizing him.

He asked them,“What are you discussing together as you walk along?”They stood still, their faces downcast. One of them, named Cleopas, asked him, “Are you the only one visiting Jerusalem who does not know the things that have happened there in these days?”

“What things?”he asked. “About Jesus of Nazareth,” they replied. “He was a prophet, powerful in word and deed before God and all the people. The chief priests and our rulers handed him over to be sentenced to death, and they crucified him; but we had hoped that he was the one who was going to redeem Israel. It is the third day since all this took place. And what is more, some of our women went to the tomb early this morning and didn’t find his body. They came and told us they had seen a vision of angels, who said he was alive. Then some of our companions went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said, but they did not see Jesus.”

He said to them, “How foolish you are, and how slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Did not the Messiah have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?” And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, Jesus explained to them what was said in all of the Scriptures concerning himself. As they approached the village, Jesus continued as if going farther, but they strongly urged him, “Stay with us, for it is nearly evening, and the day is almost over.”

So Jesus went to stay with them, and when he was at the table with them, took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight. They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?”

They got up and returned at once to Jerusalem. There, they found the eleven and those with them assembled, saying, “It is true! The Lord has risen and has appeared to Simon.” Then the two disciples told the others what had happened on the way to Emmaus, and how they recognized Jesus when he broke the bread.

The Gospel of Luke says that while they were still talking, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.” The disciples were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost. He said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds. Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see. A ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.” The Gospel of Matthew adds that Jesus rebuked the disciples for their lack of faith and stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen.

Continuing with the Gospel of Luke: When he had said this, he showed them his hands and feet. Some could still not believe it—in joy and amazement. Then he asked them,“Do you have anything here to eat?” They gave him a piece of broiled fish, and he took it and ate it in their presence.

In the Sacred Ritual for the Creation of the Cloud, Elizabeth Clare Prophet explains the workings of a rheostat, and how you can change electrical currents with the turn of a dial, that varies the resistance. She encouraged students to use the same principle to precipitate an alchemical experiment from spirit to matter, thereby congealing and sealing strong visualizations into physical realities. Jesus was demonstrating this principle to his disciples—that he could raise or lower the electronic frequency of his resurrected body at will, one moment sharing a meal with them, and the next, disappearing from their midst.

Jesus said to them,“This is what I told you while I was still with you. Everything must be fulfilled that was written about me in the scriptures—the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms. Then he opened their minds so they could understand. “The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”

Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him, but some doubted. This reminds me of when Mother Mary appeared to the children in Fatima, or to Bernadette in Lourdes, or to the visionaries of Medjugorje. They could see her and hear her, but most people could not.

The Gospel of Matthew concludes with Jesus giving his disciples the great commission: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God. Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word with signs following.

The Gospel of Luke relates this moment differently. It says that when Jesus had led the disciples out to the vicinity of Bethany, he lifted up his hands and blessed them. While he was blessing them, he was taken up into heaven. Then they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy, and stayed continually at the temple, praising God.

Now the Gospel of John likely gives us the most accurate rendition. In fact, John—the disciple whom Jesus loved—completes his gospel by saying, “This is the disciple who testifies to these things and who wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true.”

Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance. So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said, “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have put him!”

So Peter and the other disciple started for the tomb. Both were running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. He bent over and looked in at the strips of linen lying there but did not go in. Then Simon Peter came along behind him and went straight into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there, as well as the cloth that had been wrapped around Jesus’ head. The cloth was still lying in its place, separate from the linen. Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed.

Now Mary stood outside the tomb crying. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb and saw the angels in white seated where Jesus’ body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot. They asked her, “Woman, why are you crying?”

“They have taken my Lord away,” she said, “and I don’t know where they have put him.”At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus. He asked her,“Woman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?”

Christ Appearing to Mary Magdalene as Gardener by Rembrandt

Thinking he was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.” Jesus said to her, Mary.” She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” which means “Teacher”.

Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’” Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: “I have seen the Lord!” And she told them that he had said these things to her.

In the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord.

Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.”And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”

Now Thomas was not with the disciples when Jesus came. (He must have been attending to his son, as we read in the Gospel of Bartholomew.) So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”

A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” Then he said to Thomas,“Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.” Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!” Then Jesus told him,“Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book, says John. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. Later, John completes his gospel by writing, “Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.”

Afterward Jesus appeared again to his disciples, by the Sea of Galilee. It happened this way. Peter, Thomas, Nathanael, John and James and two other disciples were together. “I’m going out to fish,” Peter told them, and they said, “We’ll go with you.” So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing. Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus. Again they could not recognize his new form.

The Apparition on the Lake of Tiberiade by Duccio di Buoninsegna

He called out to them,“Friends, haven’t you any fish?”

“No,” they answered.

He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.”When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” As soon as Simon Peter heard him say, “It is the Lord,” he wrapped his outer garment around him, for he had taken it off, and jumped into the water. The other disciples followed in the boat, towing the net full of fish, for they were not far from shore, about a hundred yards. When they landed, they saw a fire of burning coals there with fish on it, and some bread.

Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish you have just caught.” So Peter climbed back into the boat and dragged the net ashore. It was full of large fish, but even with so many the net was not torn. Jesus said to them,“Come and have breakfast.” None of the disciples dared ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord. Jesus came, took the bread and gave it to them, and did the same with the fish. This was now the third time Jesus appeared to his disciples after he was raised from the dead.

When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.”

Again Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” Jesus said,“Take care of my sheep.” The third time he said to him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him for the third time, “do you love me?” He said, “Lord, you know all things. You know that I love you.”

Jesus said, “Feed my sheep. Very truly I tell you, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted. But when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go.” Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death by which Peter would glorify God. Then he said to him, “Follow thou me!”

Peter turned and saw that the disciple whom Jesus loved was following them. He asked, “Lord, what about him?” Jesus answered, “If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to thee? Follow thou me.” Because of this, the rumor spread among the believers that this disciple would not die.

John does not mention the ascension in his gospel, but the Acts of the Apostles gives a more complete description. The book of Acts follows the four New Testament gospels. It says Jesus appeared to the apostles over a period of forty days, speaking about the kingdom of God and giving instructions. On one occasion, while Jesus was eating with the disciples, he commanded them: “Do not leave Jerusalem, until you are endowed with power from on High. For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”

Then they gathered around him and asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?” He said to them:“It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”

The Ascension of Jesus by Gustav Dore

When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like mighty wind wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them
.

Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven. When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken. Utterly amazed, they asked: “Aren’t all these who are speaking Galileans? Then how is it that each of us hears them in our native language?

Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome (both Jews and converts to Judaism); Cretans and Arabs—we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!”Amazed and perplexed, they asked one another, “What does this mean?”

One, however, made fun of them and said, “They have had too much wine.” So Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: “Ye men of Judea and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you. Listen carefully to what I say. These people are not drunk, as you suppose. It’s only nine in the morning! No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:

In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
Your young men will see visions,
Your old men will dream dreams.
Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days,
and they will prophesy.
I will show wonders in the heavens above
and signs on the earth below,
blood and fire and billows of smoke.
The sun will be turned to darkness
and the moon to blood before the coming
of the great and glorious day of the Lord.
And everyone who calls
on the name of the Lord will be saved.’

The Pentecost by Otto Van Veen

Those who had gathered devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. The believers came together and held everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together. They broke bread and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of the people. And the Lord added to their number daily, those who were being saved.

Not long after that, Jesus appeared to Saul, who became the apostle Paul, and took the teachings of Christ to the Gentiles. Jesus communicated with Paul as an ascended master, through visions, meditations and miracles. He did not have a direct physical experience with him, as did the other apostles. In the words of Paul himself:

“While I was on my way and drawing near Damascus, around midday a great light from the sky suddenly shone all around me.I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?’I answered, ‘Who are you, Lord?’ Then he said to me, ‘I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are persecuting.’

“Now those who were with me saw the light, but they did not hear the voice of the one who was speaking to me. I asked, ‘What do you want me to do, Lord?’ The Lord said to me, ‘Get up and go into Damascus. There you will be told everything that you have been appointed to do.’I could not see because of the brilliance of that light, and so my companions led me by the hand to Damascus.

“A man named Ananias, who was a devout observer of the Law and highly regarded by all the Jews who lived there, came to see me. Standing beside me, he said, ‘Brother Saul, regain your sight.’ Instantly, I saw him.

“Then he said, ‘The God of our ancestors has chosen you to know his will, to see the Righteous One, and to hear him speak. For you will be his witness to tell all what you have seen and heard. And now, what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized, and have your sins washed away, calling on his name.’

Conversion of Paul by Palmo Il Giovani

“After I had returned to Jerusalem, and while I was praying in the temple, I fell into a trance and saw Jesus there. ‘Hurry and leave Jerusalem at once,’ he said, ‘because they will not accept your testimony about me.’ But I replied, ‘Lord, they themselves know that in every synagogue I used to imprison and scourge those who believe in you. And while the blood of your martyr Stephen was being shed, I myself stood by, giving my approval and guarding the coats of his murderers.’ Then he said to me, ‘Go! I am sending you far away to the Gentiles.’”

Now do you remember when Jesus told Nathanael, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you will see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man?”

The Questions of Bartholomew and the Book of the Resurrection of Christ are two post-resurrection manuscripts attributed to Bartholomewthat describe what Jesus was doing in Spirit while he was on the cross, after he was taken down from the cross and after the resurrection. They also provide important teachings from Jesus, and chronicle unique mystical experiences with the apostles that are not recorded anywhere else.

Bartholomew describes that after Jesus was buried and rose again, his countenance was not as it had been prior to the crucifixion. The fullness of his Godhead was seen. When Jesus came to see the disciples after the resurrection, Bartholomew asked him to reveal the mysteries of heaven.

Bartholomew drew near Jesus and said: “I have a word to speak unto thee, Lord.” Jesus replied, “I know what you are about to say. Say then, what you will and I will answer.” Bartholomew said, “Lord, when thou went to be hung upon the cross, I followed thee afar off and saw thee hung upon the cross, and the angels coming down from heaven and worshiping thee. And when there came darkness, I beheld, and I saw that thou wast vanished away from the cross and I heard only a voice in the parts under the earth, and great wailing and gnashing of teeth. Tell me, Lord, where did you go from the cross?”

Jesus answered: “Blessed art thou, Bartholomew, my beloved, because thou seest this mystery. And now I will tell you all things whatsoever you ask me. For when I vanished away from the cross, I went down into Hades that I might bring up Adam and all that were with him, according to the supplication of Michael the Archangel.”

“Lord, what was the voice which was heard?” asked Bartholomew. Jesus told him the story.

Hades said unto Beliar (the devil also known as Satan, Father of Lies): “As I perceive, a God cometh hither.” The angels cried unto the powers, saying, “Remove your gates, ye princes, remove the everlasting doors! For behold, the King of Glory cometh down.”

Hades said, “Who is the King of Glory, that cometh down from heaven unto us?” And when I had descended five hundred steps, Hades was troubled, saying, “I hear the breathing of the Most High, and I cannot endure it.” But the devil answered and said, “Submit not thyself, O Hades, but be strong: for God himself hath not descended upon the earth.”

And Beliar the devil said unto Hades: “Why do you frighten me, Hades? This is a prophet, and he hath made himself like unto God. Take him and bring him hither unto those that think to ascend into heaven.”

And Hades said: “Which of the prophets is it? Show me. Is it Enoch the scribe of righteousness? But God hath not suffered him to come down upon the earth before the end of the six thousand years. Is it Elias, the avenger? But when he comes down, what shall I do? For surely the destruction of God and our end is at hand. For I have the number of the years in mine hands.” What this statement reveals is that the fallen ones know their time is limited, and when their time is up. As it was written in the Book of Revelation, “The time is shortened for the elect,” and the final judgment draws nigh.

“Be not troubled,” said Beliar. “Make safe thy gates and strengthen thy bars. Consider, God comes not down upon the earth.” Hades replied: “These be no good words that I hear from thee. My belly is rent, and my inward parts are pained. It cannot be but God that comes hither.” What this statement reveals is the pain that the fallen ones feel in the Presence of God, because their energetic system is no longer congruent with the divine..

“Alas,” said Belial, “whither shall I flee before the face of the power of the great king? Suffer me to enter into myself, for before thee I was formed.” Then Belial confessed his role in the crucifixion of Christ. “I did enter in and scourged him and bound him with chains that cannot be loosed, and brought forth all the patriarchs and came again unto the cross.”

Bartholomew continued to question Jesus. “I saw thee again, hanging upon the cross, and all the dead arising and worshiping thee, and going up again into their sepulchers. Tell me, Lord, who was he whom the angels bare up in their hands, even that man that was very great of stature?”

Jesus answered: “It was Adam the first-formed, for whose sake I came down from heaven upon earth. And I said unto him, I was hung upon the cross for thee and for thy children's sake. And he, when he heard it, groaned and said: So was thy good pleasure, O Lord.”

Again, Bartholomew asked: “Lord, I saw the angels ascending before Adam and singing praises. But one of the angels which was very great, above the rest, would not ascend up with them. And there was in his hand a sword of fire, and he was looking steadfastly upon thee only. And all the angels besought him that he would go up with them, but he would not. When thou didst command him to go up, I beheld a flame of fire issuing out of his hands and going even unto the city of Jerusalem.”

Christ Preaches to the Dead in Limbo by Fra Angelico

And Jesus said: “Blessed art thou, Bartholomew, my beloved, because you saw these mysteries. This was one of the angels of vengeance which stand before my Father's throne: and this angel he sent unto me. He would not ascend up, because he desired to destroy all the powers of the world. But when I commanded him to ascend up, there went a flame out of his hand that rent asunder the veil of the temple, and parted it in two pieces for a witness unto the children of Israel for my passion because they crucified me. But the flame which you saw issuing out of his hands smote the house of the synagogue of the Jews, for a testimony of me wherein they crucified me.”

And so what Jesus is telling Bartholomew was that the earthquake that rent the temple veil was an act of divine judgment through the hand of this angel of vengeance, for the karma of having betrayed and crucified Christ, and that Jesus himself tempered the judgment with mercy and mitigated the karma. The angel of vengeance also set fire to the inner sanctuary of the temple, which is corroborated in the Gospel of Peter, when Peter said the disciples were being hunted and blamed for setting fire to the temple.

.When Jesus had thus spoken, he said unto the apostles: “Tarry for me in this place, for today a sacrifice is offered in paradise.” Bartholomew answered, “Lord, what is the sacrifice which is offered in paradise?” Jesus replied, “There be souls of the righteous which today have departed out of the body and go unto paradise, and I must be present.”

Soul Brought to Heaven by William-Adolphe Bouguereau

Bartholomew asked, “Lord, how many souls depart out of the world daily?” Jesus said, “Thirty thousand.” The world population at the time of Jesus was between 100 and 300 million. This means that daily, one soul out of five to ten thousand would be taking their leave of the earth.

Bartholomew then asked, “Lord, when thou wast with us teaching the word, didst thou receive the sacrifices in paradise?” Jesus answered, “Verily I say unto thee, my beloved, that I both taught the word with you and continually sat with my Father, and received the sacrifices in paradise everyday.” Here Jesus is explaining how he was functioning on several planes at once, something the ascended masters have said that advanced souls can do. Our souls can minister to other souls around the world, while our bodies sleep or even during waking hours, and even if our outer self is not aware that this soul service is happening.

Bartholomew said, “Lord, if thirty thousand souls depart out of the world every day, how many souls out of them are found righteous?” Jesus said unto him, “Hardly fifty my beloved.” So based on the world population at the time of Jesus, only one soul in two to six million embodied souls, was righteous.

Bartholomew further questioned: “And how do three only enter into paradise?” Jesus answered, “The fifty that enter into paradise are laid up in Abraham's bosom, but only three go into the place of the resurrection, for the three are not like unto the fifty.” This means only one soul in 33 to 100 million qualified for the ascension. The other fifty would receive training in the etheric levels of the heaven-world, and then most likely have to reembody to fulfill their divine plan.

These numbers highlight the stark reality of the statement Jesus made—that many are called, but few are chosen. This awareness was also imparted by Archangel Michael in a dictation through the Summit Lighthouse.

“Therefore, it is written and it is recorded,” said Archangel Michael. “By thy words thou shalt be justified, by thy words thou shalt be condemned. And in the great judgment every man is judged by his works Is this not in conflict, then—this written law of God—with those who tell you that by grace and grace alone ye are saved and that works do not matter?

“This is why the fallen ones have feared this end time and the last age, for they know their time is short. For they have consistently defied the Godhead and know that unless they can somehow entrap once again the children of the Light and steal their Light—their portion, their cup, will be empty.

“This is the meaning of the final judgment. There is no judgment beyond it. And thus, the energy and consciousness which the Lord God originally invested in these lifewaves is returned to the Central Sun and repolarized once again for the new creation that goes forth in a new age.

“Beloved ones, evil must come to an end. And this is the means whereby those who have chosen to embody it must reap the fruits of their sowings. If this were not so, beloved—this law of free will and the right- and the left-handed path of choosing to be or not to be God in manifestation—you would not see outplayed all around you this day examples of those choosing Life and those who choose Death.

“Look upon them. Look at the fruits of those who choose the culture of Death and look at those and the fruits of those who choose the culture of Life. Therefore, as Moses said to the children of Israel, I set before you Life and Death. Therefore, choose Life and live.”

The ascended master John the Beloved, who ascended at the conclusion of that life, elaborated on this teaching. He said, “There are some in every age who elect to become stars in the firmament of being. And as one age is concluded and another begins, there must be those who make the arc, carrying energy spirals from one dispensation to the next, from one level of consciousness to the next. These form the bridge over which all of humanity pass into a golden age of enlightenment and peace....

The Last Judgment by Giotto di Bondone

“The initiation of the crucifixion involves the descent of the soul to the darkest levels of the planet where there are those rebellious ones who have refused to acknowledge the Christ as the true light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

“Therefore, you see, while the body of Jesus lay in the tomb, his soul, his higher mind, was active in the depths of the astral plane. This is the place that has been called purgatory, where the souls of the departed ones from the days of Noah, the days of the sinking of Atlantis, were held because they refused to submit to the law of God. And therefore they had been denied rebirth and entrance into the screen of life.

“It was the assignment of Jesus, and it is the assignment of every man and woman who would follow through in the ritual of the crucifixion, to go to the darkest places of the earth and to preach the light, to compel the spirits to come into alignment with the Presence of God. At that moment, then, just before the quickening of the body cells with the resurrection fire, it is necessary to bear witness unto the truth to the mass consciousness. Thus you will see how you will find yourselves teaching the word of truth in places you had not expected to be. And you will understand that this is part of a sacred ritual and that you cannot partake of the fullness of the resurrection spiral until you have accomplished this mission....

“For in their subconscious and in the inner awareness of the soul they will have the ability to see that transforming power of the light. By making the personal contact they will retain the record of your Christ identity as a pattern and a chalice within that subconscious. And whatever happens to you in the glory of the resurrection following that contact, they will also bear witness. And by the very fact of the oneness of God, the oneness of all life, the currents which flow through you will also flow, albeit in lesser measure, through every cell in the body of God evolving upon earth.

“You have heard that it is a requirement of the Great Law for the sustaining of the planet, for the justification of its reason for being, that one soul ascend back to the heart of God in each twelve-month cycle. Now I show you the mystery of this law. It is necessary that one receive the currents of the ascension flame each year so that, by the process of the electric energy flowing from cell to cell, each year there might be impressed upon the consciousness of evolving humanity the awareness of the flow of ascension currents. Thus the very power of Victory!

“Behold how the fire of the ascension, flowing through and magnetizing one soul to God, can create tremors throughout the body of the earth and even the need for the adjustment in nature that manifests as storm, as cataclysm. You remember the lightning and the thunder in the hour of the crucifixion of Jesus. How well I remember it, for I have heard that sound and felt that current each time a son of God has passed the test of the crucifixion and each time a son of God returns in the ritual of the ascension.

The Last Judgment by Fra Angelico

“All of nature must adjust to the influx of light, and humanity also. If this requirement of the Law is not fulfilled, then the reason for being of any world ceases to exist. As long as there are those, then, who are willing to submit to the disciplines of the hierarch of the Ascension Temple, the world will remain as a place of opportunity for evolving souls. And as long as there be one who ascends, there will always be progress in human evolution. For even science, invention, education, and the fields of medicine and healing are quickened and propelled forward by the action of the ascension of one life.

“And so you can see that when progress is meager, when earth has gone through the dark ages, there have been times when only one soul made the ascension. At other periods of great enlightenment and progress many souls have ascended each year. And so progress on the planet is directly proportionate to the evolution of the individual.”

This leads to Bartholomew's next question. “Lord, how many souls above the number that leave are born into the world daily?” Jesus said unto him, “One soul only is born above the number of them that depart.” The teachings of the ascended masters have spoken about population and how ten billion souls are assigned to planet earth. The nefarious intent of population control is to prevent souls of light from coming into the earth to fulfill their dharma, and challenge the monopolies of the fallen ones.

Elizabeth Clare Prophet explained: “The exploitation of planet earth is part of their long-term project of population control. The fallen angels regularly have to wipe out segments of the population through wars and through calculated and planned famines. They know that if the people get too smart, they will find out who their overlords are and they will overthrow them. So they have to destroy their minds with drugs, impure foods, medications that kill. They have to limit people in every way and make them passive by increasing the percentage of debilitating sugar and sugar products in their diets.”

To this we could add video games and addictions to social media and pornography and unwholesome music and entertainment. Prophet continues: “The people do not have the strength, the fire, the will or the desire to challenge such oppression, and what we see today is a world oppression upon the human spirit.” Abortion is another mass karma of indoctrination and deception. “Abortion is not a means of birth control,” said Prophet. “The use of the sacred fire is a sacred responsibility. Family planning and the use of contraceptives are necessary and important. But we must understand that we are co-creators with God and we cannot see sex merely as a means of pleasure. It is the means of the creation of body temples that are to house souls destined to evolve in this time. I believe that the solution to unwanted pregnancies is to care for expectant mothers, to provide homes for them where they can safely bring forth these children. We should remember that one of the reasons Israel and Judah were led into captivity was their very practice of killing their firstborn children.”

Next, Bartholomew asked, “How many are the souls which depart out of the body every day?” Jesus answered, “Twelve thousand eight hundred, four score and three souls depart out of the body every day.” Here, we must differentiate from the previous question about souls departing the earth—meaning passing from the screen of life—and souls departing from the body—meaning leaving their body temporarily to receive training. This spiritual training happens in the etheric retreats of the heaven-world while the body sleeps (www.ethericretreats.com). Based on the world population at the time of Jesus, between 7500 and 23000 souls would daily enter higher planes of consciousness.

Souls who leave the body can also fall into the astral plane—the darker realms where bad dreams come from. That is why it is important to call to Archangel Michael or Jesus or another ascended master for protection, before falling asleep. The ascended masters teach that there are thirty-three levels to the etheric plane and thirty-three levels to the astral plane. These are the levels of heaven and hell that seers like the poet Dante Alighieri and the artist Gustave Doré have perceived. And this is why, when I was a child, my mother taught me to say this well-loved traditional prayer at bedtime:

Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep;
If I should die before I wake,
I pray the Lord my soul to take.

When Jesus had said this, he blessed the disciples with his peace and vanished away, leaving them with Mother Mary. Bartholomew went to Peter, Andrew and John and said: “Let us ask her that is highly favored how she conceived the incomprehensible, or how she bare him that cannot be carried, or how she brought forth so much greatness.”

But the disciples doubted to ask her and disputed among themselves. Bartholomew said to Peter: “Thou who art the chief, and my teacher. Draw near and ask her.” But Peter turned to John, “Thou art a virgin and undefiled and beloved. Thou must ask her.”

So Bartholomew approached Mother Mary with a cheerful countenance and said to her: “Thou who art highly favored, the tabernacle of the Most High, and unblemished. We, even all the apostles, ask thee to tell us how thou didst conceive the incomprehensible, or how thou didst bear him that cannot be.

Mary said unto them, “Ask me not concerning this mystery. If I should begin to tell you, fire will issue forth out of my mouth and consume all the world!”

They continued all the more to ask her. And she, for she could not refuse to hear the apostles, said: “Let us stand up in prayer.” The apostles stood behind Mary, and she said to Peter: “Peter, thou chief, thou great pillar, why do you stand behind us? Said not our Lord: the head of the man is Christ? Now therefore stand ye before me and pray.”

But the disciples said unto her, “In thee did the Lord set his tabernacle, and it was his good pleasure that thou should contain him, and thou ought to be the leader in the prayer.”

Mary answered, “Ye are shining stars, and as the prophet said, I did lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence shall come mine help. Ye therefore, are the hills, and it behooves you to pray.” The apostles insisted, “Thou ought to pray. Thou art the mother of the heavenly king.” Mary said unto them, “In your likeness, God formed the sparrows, and sent them forth to the four corners of the world.”

The Coronation of the Virgin by Fra Angelico

Then Mary stood before them and spread out her hands toward heaven and began to speak: “Elphue Zarethra Charboum Nemioth Melitho Thraboutha Mephnounos Chemiath Aroura Maridon Elison Marmiadon Seption Hesaboutha Ennouna Saktinos Athoor Belelam Opheoth Abo Chrasar.

O God the exceeding great and all-wise king of the worlds and ages that art not to be described, the ineffable that didst establish the greatness of the heavens and all things by a word—that out of the darkness of the unknown didst constitute and fasten together the poles of heaven in harmony; didst bring into shape the matter that was in confusion; didst bring into order the things that were without order; didst part the misty darkness from the light; didst establish in one place the foundations of the waters—that make the beings of the air to tremble, and are the fear of them that are under the earth; that didst settle the earth and not suffer it to perish, and filled it to nourish all things with showers of blessing.

“Son of the Father, thou whom the seven heavens hardly contained, but who was well-pleased to be contained without pain in me, thou that art thyself the full word of the Father in whom all things came to be, give glory to thine exceeding great name, and bid me to speak.”

And when Mother Mary had ended her prayer, she began to say to them, “Let us sit down upon the ground and come thou, Peter the chief, and sit on my right hand and put thy left hand beneath mine armpit. And thou, Andrew, do so on my left hand. And thou, John, the virgin, hold together my bosom. And thou, Bartholomew, set thy knees against my back and hold my shoulders, lest when I begin to speak my bones be loosed one from another.”

And when they had so done, she began to say: “When I abode in the temple of God and received my food from an angel, on a certain day there appeared unto me one in the likeness of an angel, but his face was incomprehensible, and he had not in his hand, bread or a cup, as did the angel which came to me aforetime.

“And straightway the veil of the temple was rent and there was a very great earthquake, and I fell upon the earth, for I was not able to endure the sight of him. But he put his hand beneath me and raised me up. And I looked up into heaven and there came a cloud of dew that sprinkled me from the head to the feet, and he wiped me with his robe, and said unto me:

“Hail, thou that art highly favored, the chosen vessel, grace inexhaustible. And he smote his garment upon the right hand and there came a very great loaf, and he set it upon the altar of the temple and did eat of it first himself, and gave unto me also. And again he smote his garment upon the left hand and there came a very great cup full of wine. And he set it upon the altar of the temple and did drink of it first himself, and gave also unto me. I beheld and saw the bread and the cup whole as they were, and he said to me: Yet three years and I will send my word unto thee and then shalt thou conceive a son, and through him shall the whole creation be saved. Peace be unto you.

“And when he had so said, he vanished away from mine eyes, and the temple was restored as it had been before.” And as Mother Mary was saying this, fire issued out of her mouth, and the world was at the point to come to an end. But Jesus appeared quickly and laid his hand upon her mouth and said unto Mary, “Utter not this mystery, or this day my whole creation will come to an end,” and the flame from her mouth ceased.

Angels from the Last Judgment by Fra Angelico

The Questions of Bartholomew says the apostles were taken with fear lest haply the Lord should be wroth with them. This concern of angering Jesus was also with the disciples and recorded throughout Pistis Sophia. In both texts, however, Jesus responds gently and reasonably and graciously, which leads me to believe the disciples were reacting to the chastening spiritual fire that emanated from Jesus, more often than to chastising words.

Bartholomew recorded that Jesus departed with them unto mount Mauria—also known as Mount Zion—on the outskirts of Jerusalem, and sat in the midst of them. The ascended masters teach that mount Zion is also the place of the Mighty I AM Presence, that anchors the energies of Alpha and Omega. This leads me to believe the following experience took place on both physical and spiritual planes.

Once again, the disciples doubted to question Jesus, being afraid. Jesus said, “Ask me what ye will that I should teach you, and I will show it you. For yet seven days, and I ascend unto my Father, and I shall no more be seen of you in this likeness.”

Still doubting, they said unto him: “Lord, show us the deep abyss according to thy promise.” Jesus replied, “It is not good for you to see the deep. Notwithstanding, if ye desire it, according to my promise, come, follow me and behold.” And he led them away into a place that is called Cherubim, that is the place of truth. And he beckoned unto the angels of the West and the earth was rolled up like a volume of a book and the deep was revealed unto them. When the apostles saw this, they fell on their faces upon the earth. But Jesus raised them up: “Said I not unto you, It is not good for you to see the deep.” Again he beckoned unto the angels, and the deep was covered up.

Now Jesus took them to the Mount of Olives. Peter said to Mary, “Thou who art highly favored, entreat the Lord that he would reveal to us the things that are in the heavens.” Mary said to Peter, “O stone hewn out of the rock, did not the Lord build his church upon thee? Go first and ask him.” Peter replied, “O tabernacle that art spread abroad.”

Mary said, “Thou art the image of Adam. Was not he first formed and then Eve? Look upon the sun, bright in the likeness of Adam, and upon the moon, full of clay because of the transgression of Eve. For God did place Adam in the east and Eve in the west, and appointed the lights that the sun should shine on the earth unto Adam in the east in his fiery chariots, and the moon in the west should give light unto Eve with a countenance like milk, and she defiled the commandment of the Lord. Therefore the moon is cloudy, stained with clay, and her light is not bright. And therefore, since thou art the likeness of Adam, thou ought to ask him.In me, he was contained that I might recover the strength of the female.”

Now when they came up to the top of the mount, and the Master had withdrawn from them a little for space, Peter said again to Mary, “Thou art she that hast brought to naught the transgression of Eve, changing it from shame into joy. It is lawful, therefore, for thee to ask.”

While Peter contended with Mary, Jesus appeared again, and Bartholomew addressed him. “Lord,” he said, “show us the adversary of men that we may behold him, of what fashion he is, and what is his work, and whence he came forth, and what power he has that he spared not even thee, but caused you to be hung upon a tree.” Jesus looked upon Bartholomew and said, “Thou bold heart! You ask for that which you are not able to look upon.”

But Bartholomew was troubled and fell at Jesus' feet and began to speak thus: “O lamp that cannot be quenched, Lord Jesus Christ, maker of the eternal light that hast given unto them that love thee, the grace that beautifieth all, and hast given us the eternal light by thy coming into the world—that hast accomplished the work of the Father, hast turned the shame-facedness of Adam into mirth, hast done away the sorrow of Eve with a cheerful countenance by thy birth from a virgin—remember not evil against me but grant me the word of mine asking.”

And as he thus spake, Jesus raised him up and said unto him: “Bartholomew, wilt thou see the adversary of men?” They all said unto him, “Lord, let us behold him.” He led them down from the Mount of Olives and looked wrathfully upon the angels that keep Tartarus—which is hell—and beckoned to Michael to sound the trumpet in the height of the heavens.

Michael sounded the trumpet. The earth shook and Beliar came up, being held by six thousand and sixty angels, and bound with fiery chains. The length of him was nineteen hundred cubits (which is approximately eleven hundred yards or two-thirds of a mile), his breadth seven hundred cubits (approximately a quarter of a mile), and his face was like a lightning of fire. His eyes were full of sparks of darkness, and out of his nostrils came a stinking smoke. His mouth was as the gulf of a precipice, and just one of his wings was eighty cubits (approximately thirty yards).

Straightway when the apostles saw him, they fell to the earth on their faces and became as dead. But Jesus raised the apostles and gave them a spirit of power, and he said to Bartholomew: “Come near, Bartholomew, and trample with thy feet on his neck, and he will tell thee his work, what it is, and how he deceives men.”

Jesus stood afar off with the rest of the apostles. Bartholomew feared, and raised his voice and said: “Blessed be the name of thine immortal kingdom from henceforth even forever.”

When he had thus spoken, Jesus permitted him, saying: “Go and tread upon the neck of Beliar.” Bartholomew ran quickly upon him and trode upon his neck: Then did Antichrist tremble, and was filled with fury.

Satan, from The Final Judgment by Fra Angelico

Bartholomew was afraid, and fled, and said to Jesus: “Lord, give me a hem of thy garments that I may have courage to draw near to him.” Jesus replied, “Thou canst not take a hem of my garments, for these are not my garments which I wore before I was crucified”—meaning Jesus was walking the earth and teaching his disciples in a resurrected state.

Bartholomew said, “Lord, I fear lest, like he spared not thine angels, he swallow me up also.” Jesus replied, “Were not all things made by my word? And by the will of my Father the spirits were made subject unto Solomon. Therefore, being commanded by my word, go in my name and ask him what thou wilt.”

Bartholomew made the sign of the cross and prayed to Jesus and went behind him. Jesus said, “Draw near.” As Bartholomew drew near, fire was kindled on every side, so that his garments appeared fiery.

Jesus again said to Bartholomew, “As I said to thee, tread upon his neck and ask him what is his power.” So Bartholomew went and trode upon his neck, and pressed down his face into the earth as far as his ears.

Then Bartholomew asked, “Tell me who thou art and what is thy name.” The devil replied, “Lighten me a little, and I will tell thee who I am and how I came hither, and what my work is and what my power is.”

Bartholomew lightened him and commanded: “Say all that thou hast done and all that thou doest.” Beliar answered, “If thou wilt know my name, at first I was called Satanael, which is interpreted as messenger of God. But when I rejected the image of God, my name was called Satanas, that is, an angel that keepeth hell.” What we can glean from this dialogue with the devil is that man was not only made in the image of God, but is the image of God that the fallen angels rejected and seek to destroy by every means possible. We are the children of God, and his Sons and Daughters, because we are the reproduction of God. Each one of us, through our free will choices, is unique and irreplaceable. This is why God loves us so much.

Again Bartholomew said to him, “Reveal unto me all things and hide nothing from me.” Beliar answered, “I swear unto thee by the power of the glory of God that even if I would hide aught I cannot, for he is near that would convict me,” speaking of Jesus. “For if I were able I would have destroyed you like one of them that were before you.”

Beliar proceeds to reveal the secrets of creation. “Indeed, I was formed and called the first angel, for when God made the heavens, he took a handful of fire and formed me first, and Michael second. He had his Son before the heavens and the earth when we were formed. For when he took thought to create all things, his Son spoke a word, so that we also were created by the will of the Son and the consent of the Father.

“He formed me first; next Michael, the chief captain of the hosts that are above; Gabriel third; Uriel fourth; Raphael fifth; Nathanael sixth; and another six thousand angels of whom I cannot tell the names for they are the standard-bearers of God, and they smite me with their rods and pursue me seven times in the night and seven times in the day, and leave me not at all and break in pieces all my power. These are the angels of vengeance which stand before the throne of God. These are the angels that were first formed. And after them were formed all the angels.”

What we can understand from this is that were Beliar to utter their angelic names, he would invoke their presence and they would bind him with cords of love, because cords of love bind all of God's creation together. Withe cords of love, we move towards the ascension or towards dissolution in God's fire, which is called the final judgment and the second death. The pink cords of divine love, as they intensify, become the ruby ray action that carry out God's judgment.

The master John the Beloved, in a Summit Lighthouse dictation, describes the abyss of the one who, like Beliar, has forfeited his responsibility in the cosmic hierarchy. “And so in those hours of depression, when the dark clouds of death, of suicide hang, you forget that there are a million souls who are nourished by your meditation, by your invocations, and by your love. For this is hierarchy!

“And I tell you, if Jesus or Mary or any of the ascended masters to whom you call were to suddenly take their leave of this planet and this solar system, you would find this same experience—that the one ahead of you holding the rope had let go. You would find yourselves tumbling into an abyss of the darkness of your own sin and karma, and then you would see how it would take you at least ten thousand years to make the strides in the light that are given to you in this hour.

“And so you see, hierarchy is the link to eternity. And every hierarch who serves the planet serves in the place of Jesus on the cross, bearing for a time the weight even of your own karma and sin. This is so that you might be propelled—by your devotion, by your invocation—higher and higher, freer and freer, purer and purer, until there is such a concentration of light within you that when you receive the opportunity to experience the way of the cross you will have enough strength, enough fortitude, so that in the fire of your own heart all past darkness is consumed.

“Precious hearts, do not give way to the logic of the tempters, for they are always looking to see how they can cut the cords of love, cut the lifeline of hierarchy. They are after you so that they can get to millions of souls who are climbing only because you have set your hand to the plow. Remember the teaching, that by looking back from the plow you are not worthy of the kingdom of God. This is because when you look back, the rope slackens and many fall. This is a dishonorable state before God, one in which you are held accountable until every last soul who looks to you to set the example and for light returns to the Path.”

Beliar continues his description of the angelic kingdom. “In the first heaven are a hundred myriads, and in the second a hundred myriads, and in the third a hundred myriads, and in the fourth a hundred myriads, and in the fifth a hundred myriads, and in the sixth a hundred myriads, and in the seventh a hundred myriads. And outside the seven heavens is the first firmament wherein are the powers which work upon men. For there are four other angels set over the winds.

“The first angel is over the north, and he is called Chairoum, and hath in his hand a rod of fire, and restraineth the superfluity of moisture that the earth be not overmuch wet. And the angel that is over the north is called Oertha. He hath a torch of fire and putteth it to his sides, and they warm the great coldness of him that he freeze not the world. And the angel that is over the south is called Kerkoutha, and they break his fierceness that he shake not the earth. And the angel that is over the southwest is called Naoutha, and he hath a rod of snow in his hand and putteth it into his mouth, and quencheth the fire that cometh out of his mouth. And if the angel quenched it not at his mouth, it would set all the world on fire. And there is another angel over the sea which maketh it rough with the waves thereof.”

Bartholomew changes the subject. “Chastisest thou the souls of men?” Beliar replies, “Wilt thou that I declare unto thee the punishment of the hypocrites, the backbiters, the jesters, the idolaters, the covetous, the adulterers, the wizards, the diviners, all them that believe in us, and of whom I look upon to deceive? When I show any illusion and they do these things, and consent unto them or follow them, they do perish with me.”

What Beliar is speaking of here is the inviolate divine law of free will, a gift that was given to God's children and that the fallen angels have used against them, leading them into snares to create negative karma. Then they are ensnared and constrained to cycles of negative karma that manifest as sin, disease and death. These are the cycles of suffering and rebirth that Gautama Buddha came to break. This is the weight of personal and planetary karma that Jesus bore upon the cross. Mark Prophet explains this further in Climb the Highest Mountain:

“The fact that in the West time is reckoned before and after Christ indicates that the mission of Jesus the Christ, who died for our sins, marks the beginning of a new era and a new civilization. Such a tremendous weight of planetary karma or sin was borne by the master, both in his ministry and in his victory over mortality, that every man, woman and child evolving upon the planet can rightly affirm, Christ died for me!

“Furthermore, they can accept him as their personal Savior; for he has not only saved each one from the agony of the cross, of bearing the sins of the world as he did, but the has also saved each one for the sheer joy of overcoming the world and ascending as he did—unto my Father, and your Father, and to my God, and your God.

“Thus as we approach the completion of this two-thousand-year cycle, cosmic law dictates that as many lifestreams as possible be given the opportunity to attain reunion with their Divine Presence and to balance a maximum amount of karma prior to the release of the Christ Light known as the Second Coming of the Christ, which must occur before the golden age civilization can be externalized.”

Bartholomew said to Beliar, “Declare quickly how you persuade men not to follow God—and your evil arts, that are slippery and dark—that they should leave the straight and shining paths of the Lord. I will that you declare it in a few words.”

Beliar smote his teeth together, gnashing them, and there came up out of the abyss, out of the bottomless pit, a wheel having a sword flashing with fire, and in the sword were pipes. “What is this sword?” Bartholomew asked. And Beliar replied, “This sword is the sword of the gluttonous, for into this pipe are sent they who, through gluttony, devise all manner of sin. Into the second pipe are sent the backbiters which backbite their neighbor secretly. Into the third pipe are sent the hypocrites and the rest whom I overthrow by my contrivance.

The Antichrist continues, “The pipe of fire in the first knife. In it are put the casters of lots and diviners and enchanters, and they that believe in them or have sought them—because in the iniquity of their heart they have invented false divinations. In the second pipe of fire are the blasphemers, suicides, idolaters. In the rest are perjurers.”

Bartholomew then asked, “Do thou then do these things by thyself alone?” And Beliar answered, “If I were able to go forth by myself, I would have destroyed the whole world in three days, but neither I nor any of the six hundred go forth.”

Like the work of the demons that we read about in The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis, Beliar says, “We have swift ministers whom we command, and we furnish them with a hook of many points and send them forth to hunt. They catch for us souls of men, enticing them with sweetness of diverse baits—that is by drunkenness and laughter, by backbiting, hypocrisy, pleasures and fornication.”

Now Beliar returns to the previous subject. “And I will tell thee also the rest of the names of the angels. The angel of the hail is called Mermeoth, and he holdeth the hail upon his head, and my ministers do adjure him and send him whither they will. And other angels are there over the snow, and other over the thunder, and other over the lightning, and when any spirit of us would go forth either by land or by sea, these angels send forth fiery stones and set our limbs on fire.”

“Be still,” ordered Bartholomew. “Be muzzled, thou dragon of the pit.” Beliar continues, almost wistfully, “Many things will I tell thee of the angels. They that run together throughout the heavenly places and the earthly are these: Mermeoth, Onomatath, Douth, Melioth, Charouth, Graphathas, Oethra, Nephonos, Chalkatoura. With them are administered the things that are in heaven and on earth and under the earth.”

Bartholomew interrupts again. “Be still. Be muzzled and be faint, that I may entreat my Lord.” Then the apostle fell upon his face and cast earth upon his head, saying, “O Lord Jesus Christ, the great and glorious name, all the choirs of the angels praise thee, O Master. And I that am unworthy with my lips do praise thee, O Master. Hearken unto me thy servant.

O Lord Jesus Christ, hearken unto me and have mercy upon the sinners.”

And when he had thus said, Jesus replied: “Rise up, and suffer him that groaneth to arise. I will declare the rest unto thee.” So Bartholomew raised up Beliar and said to him, “Go unto thy place with thine angels, but the Lord hath mercy upon all his world.”

Then Beliar complained that he was tricked into telling his secrets before the appointed time, and entreated Bartholomew to continue engaging in the conversation. “Suffer me, and I will tell you how I was cast down into this place and how the Lord did make man. I was going to and fro in the world, and God said unto Michael, Bring me a clod from the four corners of the earth, and water out of the four rivers of paradise.

An image of Adam Kadmon

“And when Michael brought them God formed Adam in the regions of the east, and shaped the clod which was shapeless, and stretched sinews and veins upon it and established it with joints. And he worshiped him for his own sake first. Because he was the image of God, God worshiped him.”

The Kabbalists understand this to be Adam Kadmon, the original man. This is the divine blueprint of God's creation, the heavenly man that fell and must be redeemed. This original man, from which all other men were created, is the one Jesus came to save. Such was described in the letter of Saint Paul to the Corinthians: “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.”

Beliar continues: “And when I came from the ends of the earth, Michael said: “Worship the image of God, which he hath made according to his likeness.” But I said, “I am fire of fire. I was the first angel formed, and shall worship clay and matter?” And Michael said to me, “Worship, lest God be wroth with thee.” So I said to him, “God will not be wroth with me; but I will set my throne over against his throne, and I will be as he is.”

“Then was God wroth with me and cast me down, having commanded the windows of heaven to be opened. And when I was cast down, he asked also the six hundred that were under me, if they would worship. They said, “Like as we have seen the first angel do, neither will we worship him that is less than ourselves.” Then were the six hundred also cast down by him with me.

“And when we were cast down upon the earth, we were senseless for forty years. And when the sun shone forth seven times brighter than fire, I suddenly awakened, and I looked about and saw the six hundred that were under me senseless.” Beliar is describing the manifestation of what we read in Psalms: “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.” He continues:

“I awakened my son Salpsan and counseled with him how I might deceive the man on whose account I was cast out of the heavens. Thus did I contrive it. I took a vial in my hand and scraped the sweat from off my breast and the hair of my armpits, and washed myself in the springs of the waters whence the four rivers flow out, and Eve drank of it and desire came upon her. Had she not drunk of that water I should not have been able to deceive her.”

What Beliar explains here is that because he was cast out of heaven on behalf of Adam—or Adam Kadmon—he took his revenge on Adam's female counterpart, which, in her fall, imprinted the Mater/matter plane with the lowering of the Kundalini energies of the sacred fire. This is what Mother Mary, as an incarnation of the Cosmic Virgin, came to redeem, as we read in Pistis Sophia.

The Elohim Astrea and Purity confirm this in a dictation published in the book, The Masters and their Retreats. “Thus was the judgment of Almighty God meted out on the whoredom of this world–-all that is anti-Mother in advertising, pornography, and those who worship the lusts of the flesh, even the Babylonians incarnated once again and those cohorts of the fallen ones, those who actually cause what has been known as the fall of Eve and the descent of the energies of the feminine ray.

“Now we say, those who would be rid of the Great Whore within as the perversion of the Mother chakra, submit it on the altar now silently within your heart. Release that energy in the name of the Christ, and it will be taken according to your will and your sustainment of that will day by day. You are the creator of your own carnal mind. Do not blame it on the fallen ones. You accepted that carnal mind, now you kick it out!”

Again, Bartholomew fell at Jesus' feet with tears, saying, “Abba, Father, that art past finding out by us. Word of the Father, whom the seven heavens hardly contained, but who was pleased to be contained easily and without pain within the body of the Virgin, whom the Virgin knew not that she bare.

Detail of The Annunciation by Fra Angelico

“Thou by thy thought hast ordained all things to be. Thou givest us that which we need before thou art entreated. Thou who wore a crown of thorns to prepare for us by repentance the precious crown from heaven, and who did hang upon the tree—turn from us the tree of lust and concupiscence.

“Thou who drank wine mingled with gall, give us to drink the wine of compunction. Thou who wast pierced in the side with a spear, fill us with thy body and thy blood. Thou who gave names to the four rivers: to the first Phison, because of the faith which thou did appear in the world to preach; to the second Geon, for that man was made of earth; to the third Tigris, because by thee was revealed unto us the consubstantial Trinity in the heavens; to the fourth Euphrates, because by thy presence in the world, thou made every soul to rejoice through the word of immortality. My God, and Father, the greatest, my King: Save, Lord, the sinners!”

When Bartholomew had thus prayed, Jesus said unto him: “Bartholomew, my Father did name me Christ, that I might come down upon earth and anoint every man that comes unto me with the oil of life: and he did call me Jesus that I might heal every sin of them that know not.”

Again Bartholomew said unto him, “Lord, is it lawful for me to reveal these mysteries unto every man?” Jesus replied, “Bartholomew, my beloved, as many as are faithful and are able to keep them to themselves. To them thou may entrust these things. For some be worthy of them, but some unto whom it is not fit to entrust them, for they are vain swaggerers, drunkards, proud, unmerciful, partakers in idolatry, authors of fornication, slanderers, teachers of foolishness, and doing all works that are of the devil. Therefore they are not worthy that these should be entrusted to them. Also they are secret, because of those who cannot contain them. For as many as can contain them shall have a part in them.”

What Jesus is saying here is that those who read and partake of the mysteries contained in these writings will experience the engrafted Word, the “Word made flesh.” They will be transformed—as in the twinkling of an eye. But for those who reject them, they will be judged by the very same Word. This is why the gospels of Bartholomew were kept hidden for two thousand years, until such a time that we might be able to assimilate the gift they contain. This explains why the disciples called Bartholomew the apostle of the mysteries of God. “Therefore, my beloved,” said Jesus, “have I spoken unto thee, for blessed art thou and all thy kindred which of their choice have this Word entrusted unto them—that of my judgment.”

“Then I, Bartholomew, which wrote these things in mine heart, took hold of the hand of—Glory be to thee, O Lord Jesus Christ, that gives unto all thy grace which we all have perceived. Alleluia. Glory be to thee, O Lord, the life of sinners. Glory be to thee, O Lord, death is put to shame. Glory be to thee, O Lord, the treasure of righteousness. For unto God do we sing.”

Last Judgment detail by Fra Angelico

And as Bartholomew thus spake, Jesus put off his mantle and took a piece of kerchief from the neck of Bartholomew and rejoiced, saying: “I am good: mild, gracious and merciful, strong and righteous, wonderful and holy. I am good. Alleluia. I am meek and gentle. Alleluia. Glory be to thee, O Lord, for I give gifts unto all them that desire me. Alleluia. Glory be to thee, O Lord, world without end. Amen. Alleluia.” And when he had ceased, the apostles kissed him, and he gave them the peace of love.

This reminds me of a dictation Jesus gave through the Summit Lighthouse, where he said, “You see, beloved, the ‘I AM’ Name and the ‘I AM’ Presence are the glory—one and the same—of the Son of man. Now ponder the reciprocity of the Father and the Son!

Two thousand years ago I said, “It is finished!” Aeons before, the Father said, “It is Good!” and rested from the labors of his creation. Completion, then, is the end of an era, an age, a plan, or a phase. It is the fulfillment of the endeavors of God or man where constancy and effort have adhered to Principle or Purpose now self-realized. Completion signals the hour of the glorification of the Son of man—when the light of God is intensified both in man and in his manifest work. The glorification is the sealing and the raising up of man’s offering of himself upon the altar of God—signifying that the Father is well pleased in his Son’s outpicturing of Himself.

It is, therefore, blasphemous to deny the power of God by using the various tenses of the verb “to be” in order to lay claim, by the power of his name, I AM, to lesser human qualities.”

Bartholomew asked Jesus still more questions. “Declare unto us, Lord what sin is heavier than all sins?” Jesus replied, “Verily I say unto thee that hypocrisy and backbiting is heavier than all sins. Because of them, the prophet said in the psalm, that—the ungodly shall not rise in the judgment, neither sinners in the council of the righteous. Neither shall the ungodly rise in the judgment of my Father. Verily, verily, I say unto you, that every sin shall be forgiven unto every man, but the sin against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven.”

Then, Bartholomew asked, “What is the sin against the Holy Ghost?” Jesus said unto him: Whosoever shall decree against any man that has served my holy Father, has blasphemed against the Holy Ghost. For every man that serves God worshipfully is worthy of the Holy Ghost, and he that speaks anything evil against him shall not be forgiven.”

In the dictation just quoted, Jesus also said, “If ever there was a child of the devil, it is that one who sustains the concept of belittlement of self or belittlement of others. For the demons of belittlement have again and again destroyed the confidence of the children of God in the mission of the Christ.”

Jesus tells Bartholomew: “Woe unto him that swears by the head of God. Yea woe to him that swears falsely by Him truly. For there are twelve heads of God the Most High: for he is the Truth, and in him is no lie, neither for swearing. Therefore, go ye and preach unto all the world the Word of Truth. And thou, Bartholomew, preach this Word unto every one that desires it.”

Bartholomew replied: “O Lord, and if any person sin with sin of the body, what is their reward?” Jesus answered, “It is good if he that is baptized present his baptism blameless, but the pleasure of the flesh will become a lover. For marriage belongs to sobriety. Verily I say unto thee, he that sins after the third marriage is unworthy of God. A second marriage is lawful, on condition of the diligent performance of good works, and due payment of tithes. But a third marriage is reprobated, and virginity is best. Preach ye unto every man that they keep themselves from such things, for I depart not from you and I do supply you with the Holy Ghost.”

When Jesus ascended in the clouds, and two angels appeared, saying “Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up.” Bartholomew worshiped him with the apostles, and glorified God earnestly, saying: “Glory be to thee, Holy Father, Sun unquenchable, incomprehensible, full of light. Unto thee be glory, unto thee honor and adoration, worlds without end.”

I searched through the online repository of Pearls of Wisdom how many time Mother and the ascended masters used the term “worlds without end” in invocations and descriptions of the heavenly hierarchies. The statement, “worlds without end,” appeared 155 times!

The Questions of Bartholomew are followed by The Book of the Resurrection of Christ by Bartholomew the Apostle. Now Bartholomew urges his son Thaddeus: “Do not let this book come into the hand of any man who is an unbeliever and a heretic. Behold this is the seventh time that I have commanded thee, O my son, concerning these mysteries. Reveal not thou them to any impure man, but keep them safely.”

The Book of the Resurrection of Christ begins with a mystical anecdotal. It describes the experience of Ananias of Bethlehem. Christ is on the cross, but he is dead and his side has been pierced. A man in the crowd named Ananias of Bethlehem, rushes to the cross and embraces and salutes the body breast to breast, hand to hand, and denounces the Jews.

A voice comes from the body of Jesus and blesses Ananias, promising him incorruption and the “the first fruits of the immortal fruit.” The Jewish high priests then decide to stone Ananias. He utters words of exultation, and the stoning produces no effect. Then, they cast him into a furnace where he remains till Jesus has risen. At last they pierce him with a spear.

After Joseph of Arimathaea buried the body of Jesus, Death—in the form of the fallen angel Abaddon—came into Amente, the underworld. It was Holy Saturday. He asked who the new arrival was, for he detected a disturbance. He came to the tomb of Jesus with his six sons in the form of serpents—including Pestilence—and described the commotion that had taken place in his domain.

Jesus Taken Down from the Cross by Fra Angelico

Jesus lay in the tomb with his face and head covered with napkins. Then Death spoke to the body of Jesus and asked, “Who art thou?” Jesus removed the napkin that was on his face. He looked in the face of Death and laughed at him. Death and his sons fled. Then they approached again, and the same thing happened. He addressed Jesus again at some length, suspecting who he was, but not certain. Then Jesus arose and mounted into the chariot of the Cherubim. He wrought havoc in Hell, breaking the doors, binding the demons Beliar and Melkir, and delivered Adam and the holy souls.

We find in the letters of 1 Peter that are a part of the New Testament, a statement that has perplexed Christians—about Jesus going into the prisons of hell to preach to the rebellious spirits, that were there since the flood of Noah. We understand from ascended master teachings that this time period corresponds to the sinking of Atlantis.

Peter writes, “For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit, in which he went and proclaimed to the spirits in prison, because they formerly did not obey, when God’s patience waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through water.”

Elizabeth Clare Prophet teaches: “The soul of Jesus, working with the externalized light of all incarnations of his attainment, must draw forth from the Godhead and renew the action of the threefold flame and the pulsation of his heart. Not only must he accomplish this, but by the same momentum of his attainment he must descend in his finer body—the soul in the etheric body, the soul clothed upon with the full Christ consciousness that he was—and go and speak to the most rebellious angels in the very depths of hell, to rebuke them for their evil deeds against the Most High God, to preach to them repentance, remission of sin, to rebuke them, and to cause them to bend the knee and once again confess the living Christ. And he presented that Christ to them himself.

Lord Maitreya shared in a dictation: “I ask you, beloved ones, if any of you are aware of the experiences of beloved Jesus from the time they removed his body from the cross until he rose again? Do you recall that the scriptures record that during the time when he was taken down from the cross until the time of his resurrection he preached to the spirits of those who were disobedient during the days of Noah? Well I think, then, if the Christ preached to the spirits which were disobedient in the days of Noah, that he must have experienced an unbroken consciousness.”

The Book of Revelation emphasizes that Abaddon is a destroyer, and the angel of the Abyss. The name Abaddon means “place of destruction,” and is referenced in both the Old and New Testaments. He is often associated with the underworld, and with demonic forces. This fallen one is also mentioned in the Book of Job as well as in Proverbs—often alongside Sheol, the resting place of the dead.

The ascended masters teach that Abaddon occupies the fallen position on the six o'clock line of the Mother in the matter plane. He is part of the dragon mentioned in the Book of Revelation—the conglomerate of fallen ones—that was wrought with the woman and went to make war with the remnant of her seed. This war is being waged against our youth in the form of rock music. Rock music was forecast in Revelation 9 as the first woe which was to come upon the earth. “And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.”

Elizabeth Clare Prophet teaches, “Therefore, when the angel fell from heaven and opened the bottomless pit, having the key to unloose both the fallen angels and their karma, all vileness erupted. As of old, they corrupted the physical plane through the rhythm and the sound of rock, and the youth followed the fallen angels—the rock stars that had long ago fallen from heaven and beguiled the sons of Jared to descend the mountain of God to the valley below,” recorded in the Book of Enoch. “Earth has been invaded by the demons of the bottomless pit who have perverted the rhythm of Love in the mechanization of synthetic molecules and in the rocking of the beat of Life until it has become the rocked beat of death, perverting the Mother flame under the fallen angel Abaddon.”

The ascended master El Morya told Prophet that Abaddon's “oblivion” is an attack on the heart and on the spiritual threefold flame in the heart. It is the bombardment of the physical heart with a perverted rock beat that disrupts the heartbeat's natural three-quarter time waltz. This disrupts the the soul's ability to attune with the threefold flame that rises and spins in the secret chamber of the heart.

Jesus taught in a dictation published by the Summit Lighthouse, that the difference between the ascended Sons of God and his unascended children is precisely the difference in the degree of internalization and assimilation of the threefold flame by the soul. “In order to properly magnetize Light,” he said, “men must be pure in heart.”

In another dictation, Mother Mary spoke of the dangers of rock music, as she transferred to Dorothy Lee Fulton the spiritual mantle of “Messenger of Music.” She said that this mantle can be accessed by all who bring forth heavenly music: “I transfer to you from my Causal Body of Light the healing ray, the healing ray of the light and sound ray. I anoint you to bring forth music for the healing of souls, the healing of wrong desire, the healing of the misuse of the power of thought and the power of feeling, the strengthening of the membrane of the vessels of Light. I transfer an increment of my Diamond Heart and give you angels of protection against astral entities that have burdened you and astral substance around you. They form a ring of light.

“Thus, let the mandala of music now be close and defend therefore this great calling, for it is assailed by every fallen one upon earth who hold the earth hostage to their diabolical music and sounds, sounds you have not heard, for we have sealed them in hell, the sounds of their voices, the sounds of demons cackling and mocking in their sensuality....The spiritual sounds must be released. For I Mary, tell you that unless they be released, we will not have the wherewithal to save the souls that could be lost in physical embodiment or on the astral plane.

“Contribute to this stream of new music,” said Mother Mary, “that shall surely usher in the Golden Age of Aquarius if you are faithful to this call.” Mother Mary also told Dorothy Lee—and this is published in the book Here I AM—“Some young people are locked in hell. They are hooked on the music that comes from beneath and not from above. The instruments that are used and the sounds that come out of them are so deadening, they trap souls unaware. This music could kill souls. In fact, it is worse than killing. Please do not get near it, and do not let the little ones get near it.

To this, Dorothy Lee added: “Mother Mary came to me and told me that when the choir sings the music of the spheres, she takes the sound that is released and multiplies it a million times. Then she saturates the earth with it for planetary healing and bounces it between the planetary spheres. She showed me that the music goes on forever through time and space, reverberates, worlds without end, and never dies.”

Now continuing with the writings of Bartholomew. Following the deliverance of Adam, Jesus turned to Judas Iscariot and uttered a long rebuke, and described the sufferings which he must endure. Thirty names of sins are given, which are the snakes which were sent to devour him. Jesus rose from the dead, and Abbadon and Pestilence came back to Amente to protect it, but they found it wholly desolate. Only three souls were left in it, those of Herod, Cain, and Judas. Meanwhile the angels were singing the hymn which the Seraphim sing at dawn on the Lord's day, over his body and his blood.

Bartholomew described that early in the morning of the Lord's day, the women went to the tomb. They were all in the garden of Philogenes. Philogenes must have been the last name of Joseph of Arimathea. Mother Mary said to Philogenes, “If thou art indeed he, I know thee.” Philogenes answered, “Thou art Mary, the mother of joy, blessing, and gladness.” Then Mary said, “If thou have borne him away, tell me where thou hast laid him and I will take him away: fear not.” Philogenes explained that he offered to place Jesus in a tomb in his own garden and watch over it.

Next, we reads what appears to be a spiritual vision. At midnight Philogenes rose and went out and found all the orders of angels: Cherubim, Seraphim, Powers, and Virgins. Heaven opened, and the Father raised Jesus. Peter, too, was there and supported Philogenes.

The Savior then appeared to them like Elijah, on the Father's chariot, and said to Mary: “Mari Khar Mariath,” which means, “Mary the mother of the Son of God.” Mary answered: “Rabbouni Kathiathari Mioth,” which means, “The Son of God the Almighty, my Lord, and my Son.” A long address to Mary from Jesus follows, in the course of which he bids her tell his brethren, “I ascend unto my Father and your Father.” Mary then says: “If indeed I am not permitted to touch thee, at least bless my body in which thou didst deign to dwell.”

Bartholomew affirms: “Believe me, my brethren the holy apostles, I, Bartholomew beheld the Son of God on the chariot of the Cherubim. All the heavenly hosts were about him. He blessed the body of Mary. She went and gave the message to the apostles, and Peter blessed her, and they rejoiced. Jesus and the redeemed souls ascended into Heaven, and the Father crowned him.” The glory of this scene—that Jesus had prophesied to Nathanael—Bartholomew could not describe.

Then follows a series of hymns sung in heaven, eight in all, which accompany the reception of Adam and the other holy souls in glory, who were brought to the Father by Michael. Adam was eighty cubits high and Eve fifty. Bartholomew says that he had never seen anything to compare with the beauty and glory of Adam, save that of Jesus. Adam was forgiven, and all the angels and saints rejoiced and saluted him, and departed each to their place. Adam was set at the gate of life to greet all the righteous as they enter, and Eve was set over all the women who had done the will of God, to greet them as they come into the city of Christ.

“As for me,” said Bartholomew, “I remained many days without food or drink, nourished by the glory of the vision. The apostles thanked and blessed Bartholomew for what he had told them. Then Bartholomew writes that at the time when Jesus took the apostles up into the Mount of Olives he spoke to them in an unknown tongue, which he revealed to them, saying: “Anetharath or Atharath Thaurath.”

“The heavens were opened,” says Bartholomew, “and we all went up into the seventh heaven.” This would be the seventh level of the etheric plane, where the prophet Mohammed met Abraham. “Jesus prayed the Father to bless us, with the Son and the Holy Ghost. Then, he laid his hand on the head of Peter, and made him archbishop of the whole world, saying, All that is bound or loosed by him on earth shall be so in heaven. None who is not ordained by him shall be accepted.

The New Jerusalem

Each of the apostles was separately blessed: Andrew, James, John and Philip—the cross will precede him wherever he goes, Thomas, Bartholomew—he will be the depositary of the mysteries of the Son, Matthew—his shadow will heal the sick, James son of Alphaeus, Simon Zelotes, Judas of James, Thaddeus, and Matthias who was rich and left all to follow Jesus.

The apostles kissed and blessed Bartholomew, though he wanted no honor, and then, with Mary, they offered the Eucharist. The Gospel of Bartholomew concludes with the Father sending the Son down to Galilee, to console the apostles and Mary, before going up to heaven. “And he came and blessed them and showed them his wounds, and committed them to the care of Peter, and gave them their commission to preach. They kissed his side and sealed themselves with the blood that flowed thence.”

Thomas, meanwhile, was not with them for he had departed to his city, hearing that his son Theophanes was dead. It was the seventh day since his son had died when he arrived, so he went to the tomb and raised him in the name of Jesus. Then, his son told him how his soul was taken by Archangel Michael—how it sprang from his body and lighted on the hand of Michael, who wrapped it in a fine linen cloth. Theophanes described to Thomas how he crossed the river of fire and it seemed to him as water, and was washed thrice in the Acherusian lake. He also described how in heaven he saw the twelve splendid thrones of the apostles, and was not permitted to sit on his father's throne.

Peter said to the apostles: “Let us offer the offering before we separate.” They prepared the bread, the cup, and the incense. Peter stood by the sacrifice and the others gathered round the table. His divided the body of Christ and they saw the blood of Jesus pouring out as living blood down into the cup. Peter said, “God has loved us more than all, in letting us see these great honors that our Lord Jesus Christ has allowed us to behold and has revealed to us—the glory of his body and his divine blood.” They partook of the body and blood, and then they separated and preached the word. This concludes Bartholomew's account of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

I would like to share now, the account of the resurrection that was given in the book by Werner Schroeder that compiled teachings of the ascended masters through the Bridge to Freedom and the I AM Movement, Man: Whence, How and Whither. Quoting from the book:

After the crucifixion, John the Beloved and Mary the Mother of Jesus left it to others to perform the final rites. Accompanied by a feeling of inner peace, they walked down Calvary Hill in the direction of Bethany. They stayed at the old mill, located on the outskirts of the town. Here they found refuge and solace from the pressures of the past events.

The Annunciation by Charles Bouguereau

Mary asked to be left alone, and for two nights and one day she concentrated on the action of the Resurrection Flame, assisting in restoring the broken body of Jesus. She prayed for many hours, finally falling asleep at her vigil. Then through her mind came the magnificent, melodious voice of Gabriel. He entered her consciousness, using the same words he used when he confirmed Jesus' messiahship, namely, “Hail, Mary! Full of grace!” At first Mary thought she was dreaming of the earlier visitation. But Gabriel confirmed, “Your son is risen! He is victorious! The tomb has been shattered. He inhabits his body and I come–the Announcer–the Protector of the Immaculate Concept, to bring you the first word of victory!” Mary fell to her knees, acknowledging Gabriel's presence, and tears of gratitude streamed down her face.

The room was filled with light, and scented with the fragrance of the lily. As the brilliant light softened, Mary could recognize Jesus, clothed in the same white robe that she had woven for him. She was even able to recognize her own stitching in the hem of his garment. As she examined his features to be sure it was not a mirage, Jesus reached out his hands and spoke to her saying, “Mother, it is I!” Mary rushed toward him, touching his robe, thinking to kiss the hem, but he raised her up. Together they walked to the window to look at the sun, which, as a symbol of life and light they had worshiped and loved as an outer manifestation of God. When Mary looked at Jesus' hands, she noticed there were still scar marks caused by the nails; the marks on the forehead from the thorns were gone, however. Jesus explained that an Ascended Being had suggested to him to keep the marks on the hands and feet, as well as the spear mark, as a means of identification.

Jesus parted from her, explaining he had to see Martha, Mary of Magdelene, Peter, James, and John because they were totally shaken by the crucifixion, and much afraid. Before leaving, Jesus asked Mary if she wished to ascend with him, or whether she wanted to stay on. Mary apparently had qualified for the ascension, as had Jesus. Mary countered his question, asking what he wanted her to do. Jesus answered, explaining that it would take an unascended being to magnetize and anchor the cosmic currents for the Christian Dispensation. Mary happily agreed to stay, which pleased him.

Now Jesus told Mary he had received a special new dispensation from the Karmic Board under which it was possible for him to visit with her and John for thirty years, to give them certain points of Law that heretofore were not allowed to be given. As part of the plan to anchor the currents, it was required that at all times either John or Mary were to stay in Bethany. Jesus added that he was also permitted to visit with Mary and others for forty days prior to his ascension, to explain the Law to them. He said he would send Peter, James, Andrew, John, Luke and the women who loved them, to Bethany.

The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin by Botticini

When Jesus contacted his disciples after the resurrection, he was no longer operating in his physical body, he was operating in his Christ Self. While in the tomb, in cooperation with the Maha Chohan and Archangel Gabriel, Jesus had transmuted his physical body by sending light rays from his I AM Presence, drawing the purified essence of the physical body into the Christ-Self. Jesus was then functioning in his pure light body, in which every atom and electron was under Jesus' conscious control. Therefore, he could vary the vibratory action of the Christ-Self at will, enabling him to make it visible and tangible to the degree he wished. This light body required no food or drink, and had no flesh or bones, but Jesus could make it appear to look like a flesh body to the disciples to convince them of his tangible presence. Raising the vibratory action of his Christ-Self body, he could go through walls of buildings without difficulty. Having gained mastery over matter—energy, substance and vibration—he could even assist the disciples in doing physical work.

Why did Jesus not simply ascend from the cross? Mary explained that Jesus could have done so, but the action of the Resurrection Flame was chosen, to strengthen the faith of the disciples, and to establish a focus for the Christian Era. By appearing each day to Mary and the disciples, some times for minutes, sometimes for hours, for forty days, their feelings became anchored in the supremacy of the laws of Almighty God. The disciples had to learn that it is possible for every student of truth to apply the Law and have the victory of its manifestation. Mary said in a dictation, “what one has done, all may one day do.”

The establishment of a focus which would live for 2,000 years on the Light, the constructive, qualified energy of Jesus and Mary—and which would have the vitality, the fire, and the necessary strength to sustain itself when both had ascended—was necessary to the Christian Dispensation.

It was decided to remodel the living quarters of the old mill, as it was sort of run down. Also, since it was being used as an assembly room for Jesus' visits, it had to accommodate more people. First, a small room was provided for Mary, inside the mill. Then Jesus suggested digging a ditch to irrigate Mary's garden, to save her steps in carrying water. A stream of water flowed behind the mill, adding to the peace and beauty of the scenery. Mary was interested in herbs, which she had planted for their healing power.

So the old mill became the focus of the Christian Dispensation, and Mary stayed here for another thirty years. Jesus not only gave advice, but he also helped with the work of renovating. At one time he helped strengthen a roof beam by adding a support column. In this way the span of the beam would be shortened. Peter cut a tree; Jesus, using his carpenter skills, planed it down, and together they placed the support column in the center of the room. James, John, and Peter white-washed the living quarters. As said before, when Jesus was giving instruction or was helping with the renovating, he was operating in the body of his Christ Self, not yet in the Ascended Master body of his I AM Presence.

Windmill in Jerusalem

Gifts came from many places. Joseph of Arimathea sent some sheep. These provided the wool for the garments. Pilate's wife, a lovely person, contributed some imported milking-goats. In a letter she asked permission to visit. The friends of Judas Iscariot and his family offered forty fig and olive trees. These were gratefully accepted and planted. In the evenings the small community gathered, and Mary told them about Jesus' birth and his life. Matthew, Mark and John wrote the story using their own words. Sometimes Mary made corrections. In this way the Gospels were written.

Finally, the end of the forty-day-period approached. This time the parting was much easier and happier. Everyone had a much better understanding of the Law, and knew within their hearts that the Christ would be with them always, even if the physical form of Jesus would not be present any longer. Jesus promised John that he would receive his ascension at the close of his embodiment. He had earned it through his love and fidelity to the cause, and because of his service and care of Mary. Mary said later to the students: “On every occasion when I required help, John always stood by. Truly, he was love.”

While Mary was staying at Bethany, she walked up the hill alone each day, weaving a pattern of light. While on her way, she prayed and sent her love and gratitude to God, sending forth her invocations for Jesus' victory. This path way of Light pierced through the psychic realm, connecting with the consciousness of Vesta. Over this pathway Jesus later would walk in his triumph. The rising of energy from her heart built the pattern of the Ascension Flame, used to gain Jesus' victory. A dispensation which governs an entire race at the changing of a 2,000-year cycle is composed of the combined, woven energies of many concentrated lifestreams.

The night before the ascension, Jesus spoke to Mary and John. He explained that he would climb the hill of Bethany alone early in the morning. Mary, John, and the disciples were to hold the crowd back until about nine o'clock. Then they all could follow him. The morning came, and Jesus walked up the hill alone. His presence acted like a magnet. His aura was just as it was before, when he was on his mission, so magnetic and powerful, that even when people were asleep, they arose and followed him. Mary instructed the disciples to hold the crowd back, just as Jesus had asked. In order to keep the people harmonious, Mary told the multitude stories of Jesus' life.

At 9 o'clock, the crowd followed Jesus up the hill. His garments were already brilliant, and people noticed his radiance reflected in the atmosphere. So bright was the light shining through his body, that Mary and the others could scarcely look upon it. He spoke no more. Mary and the disciples prayed for him, holding their concentration on the Ascension Flame. Then from the top of the hill, from the very rock upon which Mary had spent countless hours in prayer, Jesus ascended into the electronic body of his I AM Presence. This was witnessed by five hundred people.

In a dictation to the students in the 1950's, Jesus gave the account of his ascension as follows: “John and Mother Mary chose to guard that place for me, and thus on that morning, I was enabled to quietly and unostentatiously walk up that grassy path to the top of Bethany's Hill, and have just a little solitude, watching the sun rise, enjoying the beauties of Earth before my beloved disciples and those who came to wonder and to question, reached the brow of the hill. So it was, in that resurrected body, that I was able, in the presence of almost five hundred people, not all of whom believed that such a thing was possible, to quicken the vibratory action of that resurrected form, and with the great assistance of the mighty prayer force that my mother had established through her years of prayer on Bethany's Hill, together with the great assistance of my own I AM Presence, the ascension was publicly manifest.

“Some there were who saw it, some there were who did not, because as the light became brighter, the natural activity of the human self was to cover the eyes against glare. Some were frightened, and turned their backs lest they be distressed. Some flung themselves to the ground, but the few who stood could bear witness. I ascended to my Father and to yours, enjoying that company of Divine Beings who have forsworn Nirvana, continuing my assistance as best I could to any and all lifestreams, who in their turn would direct their attention toward me.” According to the account given by Jesus and Mary, Jesus was wearing the robe that Mary had furnished him, when he ascended. The robe and the body of the Christ Self were etherealized when Jesus stepped into the electronic body of his I AM Presence.

After the crucifixion and resurrection, the Roman government and the Sanhedrin High Priests were content and satisfied. They felt certain they had put an end to this menace to their authority. As far as they were concerned, things were now nice and quiet. Jesus suggested to his friends to keep it that way, and to not draw undue attention to their small community in Bethany. He asked that an upper room in Jerusalem be rented where the disciples and Mary could meet. Matthew was the keeper of the funds, and so it was his responsibility to secure a room.

The purpose of the meeting was to restore the disciples' confidence and faith, which was fading, somewhat, after Jesus' ascension. Those who knew of the coming of the Holy Spirit prepared for the first Pentecost. The meaning of ’Holy Spirit' has confounded many. Simply put, it is the life-giving, life supporting energy prana radiated from the Central Sun, and directed to the Earth. Here it is received and further projected by the Maha Chohan. Therefore, the Maha Chohan is not the Holy Spirit, as he is commonly called, but rather, directs the Holy Spirit.

The first Pentecost consisted of an additional amount of prana released to the assembly. It had a profound effect upon the disciples. When the radiation of the Holy Spirit occurred, the disciples were filled anew with vital fire. In fact, they were filled with so much energy that they appeared drunken to others. It gave new emphasis to their lives. It was the final act in preparing them to meet the public to preach the Gospel. Mary was greatly relieved, because during those ten days after the ascension, many had leaned on her for faith and confidence. Now, after Pentecost, the disciples became much more self-reliant. This concludes Schroeder's account.

The Gnostic text Pistis Sophia describes the ascension of Jesus in great detail. We read that a luminous force descended upon Jesus, enveloping him entirely as he sat at a distance from his disciples. His brilliance was extraordinary beyond measure, unparalleled in intensity.

“Due to the immense radiance that surrounded Jesus or emanated from him, the disciples were unable to see him directly. The brilliance was so overpowering that their vision was obscured by its intensity. Instead, they witnessed the display of his light rays, each distinct from the others. These rays of light buried in their appearance and quality, extending from below to above, forming a grand and boundless spectacle of radiant glory. The radiance spanned from beneath the earth's surface to the heavens above. As the disciples beheld this extraordinary light, they were overcome with fear and agitation, sensing the tremendous power and significance of the moment.”

The text then describes Jesus ascending to the heavenly realms: “The disciples observing this extraordinary event fixed their gaze upon him, struck with awe. A sense of deep silence prevailed among them, and none of them uttered a word as they watched him ascend towards the heaven. This occurrence took place on the day of the full moon. As Jesus ascended and reached the heavenly realms, a significant phenomenon unfolded. The earthly realm also experienced upheaval. The entire world and its inhabitants were shaken.

“The commotion persisted, causing the various beings, including angels and archangels, to sing praises that resonated even to the deepest parts of existence. The world itself bore witness to their harmonious voices.

“Something extraordinary happened on the ninth hour of the following day. The heavens parted and their gaze was met with the sight of Jesus descending from above. His radiance was even more brilliant than before, surpassing all measure of the light that enveloped him. The intensity of his radiance exceeded that which had been present during his ascent to the heavens. It was a light that defied description.”

The Gnostic account of Jesus descending from the ascended planes reminded me of the Wesak ceremony in the book, The Masters and the Path by C. W. Leadbeater. The book describes Gautama Buddha's yearly descent into the earth, and return to heaven, on the full moon each May.

The Wesak Ceremony by C.W. Leadbeater

“It is hopeless to try to explain on the physical plane the realities of the higher worlds,” writes Leadbeater. “No description can give an idea of the face—a face truly God-like, for it combines calmness and power, wisdom and love in an expression containing all that our minds can imagine of the Divine. One of the most striking features of this wondrous apparition is the splendid aura which surrounds the figure. It falls into concentric spheres, as do the auras of all highly advanced men.

“The figure is englobed in light which is somehow at the same time dazzling and yet transparent—so bright that the eye can hardly rest upon it, and yet through it the face and the color of the robe stand out with perfect clearness. Outside of that comes a ring of glorious ultramarine. Then in succession glowing golden yellow, the richest crimson, pure silvery white and a magnificent scarlet—all these being of course really spheres, though showing as bands when seen against the sky. Shooting out at right angles, outside all these, are rays of all these hues intermingled, and interspersed with flashes of green and violet, These colors, in exactly this order, are described in ancient Buddhist scriptures as constituting the aura of the Lord. The heart of it is blinding white light.”

Likewise, we read about Jesus' descent from the higher planes in Pistis Sophia: “This light emitted an abundance of rays that shot forth, each ray exceeding the other in excellence. The entirety of this radiant illumination coalesced into a harmonious whole. The luminous phenomenon exhibited a threefold nature. The three modes of light, with their distinct qualities, exhibited variations in brilliance, each surpassing the other.”

The three modes of light are akin to the three buddhic vehicles and to the chart of the Presence. The level of the incarnate individual with the threefold flame in the heart; the level of the Holy Christ Self and the level of the I AM Presence. These three levels in Buddhism are called the Nirmanakaya, or body of transformation—the Sambhogakaya, or body of bliss—and the Dharmakaya, or body of truth.

Chart of Your Divine Buddhic Self by the Summit Lighthouse

Pistis Sophia continues: “The lowest part, constituting the first glory, resembled a light that had enveloped Jesus prior to his ascent to the heavens. It maintained a singular and unique character in its radiance.

“The second mode, situated in the middle, outshone the first while the third mode, the highest of all, surpassed both the preceding ones. The first mode of glory, shared a likeness of the light that accompanied Jesus before his ascent. These three modes of light displayed diverse characteristics, each mode surpassing the other in excellence.”

Upon witnessing this extraordinary occurrence, the disciples were overcome with an intense mixture of fear and turmoil. In response to their unsettled state, Jesus—known for his compassion and gentle nature—turned his gait towards them, observing their profound agitation. He addressed them in a comforting tone, “Take heart. It is me. Do not be afraid.”

When the disciples heard these words, they said: “Lord, if it is indeed, you, draw back your radiant glory into yourself, so that we may stand. For without this, our vision is obscured and we are filled with restlessness, even the entire world is in turmoil due to the immense light that surrounds you.”

Following this, Jesus pulled his radiant light back unto himself, and a surge of courage enfolded the disciples. They moved closer to him, collectively prostrating, and worshiped him with elation. With great joy, they inquired, “Rabbi, where have you been? What was the purpose of your mission? What caused the upheavals and earthquakes that have shaken everything?”

Then, with compassion, Jesus addressed them: “Rejoice and celebrate from this moment onward, for I have returned to the realm from which I originated. Henceforth, I shall converse with you openly, revealing the complete truth from its inception to its culmination. Our discussion will be direct and unobscured, devoid of allegory. I shall withhold nothing from you regarding the profound mysteries of the higher realm and Truth's domain.”

Before we move forwards with the truth Jesus spoke, I would like to share a story from the book Here I AM by my friend Dorothy Lee Fulton, Messenger of Music. This story illustrates the second coming of Christ in a very personal and touching way. This is the story:

Once my minister friend and I were driving the California coastal route to visit his family. The weather was drizzly, peppering rain. Suddenly, the car left the pavement, made an upward movement, circled in the air and descended into a deep ravine. We heard the crashing sounds of breaking glass. Then just as suddenly, the car began to rise upward and place itself in its own tracks. There were no dents in the car or any broken windows. The event was witnessed by many passerbys. They were so awed. No one was speaking. My friend left the car and walked over to them.

About twenty feet away, stood a man alone, no luggage in sight. He said to me, “I have just seen a miracle.” Very slowly, I answered, “Yes.” He took a few steps toward me and said, “To what do you attribute this miracle?” I started to think this was no ordinary man, and answered him, pointing upwards: “Someone is watching over us.”

He moved closer to the vehicle where I was sitting and asked for a ride. I said to him, “If you were going our way, you would be most welcome.” Then he leaned over, placed his hand on the open window base, and said emphatically: “I must ride in this car.”

“Oh, you are certainly welcome,” I replied. “Please get in.” I opened the door, and he sat himself right next to me. I remembered hearing, “Some day you will meet the master,” and I had always wondered how I would know. By this time, my minister friend had returned to the car, and I introduced him to the man, saying, “The gentleman needs a ride.” My friend became speechless and remained so for three days.

We were crowded in the car, so the stranger placed his arm on the back of the seat. Now and then, I would ask him about his destination, and I would tell him that we would be glad to stop for him at any time. He only said, “I will let you know.” The ride was long, and we spoke occasionally. His presence was very comforting, and my wonderment never ceased. All the time, I kept thinking, was this just a man along the road, or was this indeed the master?

Jesus by Dorothy Lee Fulton, Messenger of Music, Cosmic Portals

Now the daylight was waning and the street lights began to appear along the coast. Suddenly, the stranger said, “If you don't mind, I will get out here.” We had stopped in a well lit small town, so I decided to see where he was going. Quickly, I turned to watch him step from the car, and as his foot touched the ground, he was no more to be seen.

Several years later, this stranger appeared in his light body, and I in mine. Instantly, I realized that it was Jesus who had ridden in the car with me, and before I knew it we were traveling to places the world over. There is no need to explain. Just know that it could happen to you. Yes, I did meet Jesus with thankful heart, I tell you the story.

Dorothy Lee was a friend and student of Mark and Elizabeth Clare Prophet. The souls of Mark and Elizabeth Clare Prophet were both embodied during the time of Jesus. Mark was a child who followed the disciples, and later wrote the Gospel of Mark. Elizabeth was embodied as Martha of Bethany. She shares an experience with the master that ties back to that Bethany time, and then fast-forwards it to the present day.

Prophet writes: “So when we asked Jesus if he would take us with him in the resurrection, he told us we would follow him but not until the ‘end of the age’ of Pisces. He said we must reincarnate to keep the flame of the mysteries burning within the Church and when the fullness of the time would come for their revelation, he would restore them through us, outside his Church because the Church hierarchy would not sanction it. He would restore his lost teachings, his lost arts of healing and the path of discipleship unto personal Christhood, which he demonstrated during his years in the East.

“He even told me that he would lead me to a place in a wilderness land across the sea where he would reestablish his Mystery School, and the lightbearers of the whole world would come to raise up the light as he had taught us, within our chakras and temples, to be an ensign of the ‘I AM Race.’ Astonished, I asked him how I would find this place and how I would know it when I had found it. The Master said, ‘You will see a giant jet of water coming out of the earth, and it will quicken your soul memory that I made this promise to you, and you will recognize the land as the “Place Prepared.”’

“I didn’t have the outer memory of that promise until after the Summit Lighthouse had purchased our 12,000-acre Royal Teton Ranch adjacent to Yellowstone Park. When I saw the property I knew in my heart it was right, by vibration. There was no doubt in my mind. Some time afterward, Jesus came to me and quickened my memory of that scene where he had given me that prophecy. And I realized that the sign that my soul had followed was Old Faithful, the geyser in Yellowstone Park.

Our property borders on five miles of Yellowstone Park. And I said to him, ‘Jesus, why didn’t you tell me all this before we purchased this property?’ He said, ‘Because, beloved, I wanted you to understand that you needed only your communion with my Sacred Heart to have my unerring guidance in order to know the place I had prepared for you. And although I would give it to you, you did not need the outer remembrance of the things that I had told you. Thus, in all things trust your heart to mine and you will not fail.’”
